DE Filters (Diatomaceous Earth)
The finest filtration available for residential pools. DE filters catch particles down to 2-5 microns, which is why pools with DE filters look noticeably clearer. The top choice for homeowners who want the cleanest water possible. Requires periodic grid cleaning and DE powder recharging.
Cartridge Filters
Low maintenance and energy efficient. Cartridge filters do not require backwashing, which saves water and keeps your chemical balance stable. Great for homeowners who want clean water without the hands-on upkeep of a DE filter. Replace the cartridge once or twice a year and you are set.
Sand Filters
The simplest pool filter to maintain. Sand filters handle high flow rates and are easy to backwash. Filtration is not as fine as DE or cartridge, but for many residential pools, sand filters provide solid performance with minimal effort. Replace the sand every 5-7 years.
